Strategic Partnership: Cooperation Agreement to Drive Technology and AI Innovation Between China, the Middle East, and Kazakhstan

MOU Signed: The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan (MDDIAI), Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC (QIC), ewpartners, and Agribot have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish Kazakhstan as a key innovation hub for advanced robotics and AI, connecting China, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
Leverage Expertise: The partnership will leverage ewpartners' proven track record and deep expertise in cross-border investments between Asia and the Middle East to co-build regional ecosystems.
Joint Venture and R&D Center: Leading Chinese AI and robotics company AgiBot will establish a joint venture and R&D center in Kazakhstan, accelerating robotics innovation and Industry 4.0 applications.

Astana, Kazakhstan – 31/01/2025 – The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan (MDDIAI), Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC (QIC), ewpartners, and AgiBot have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance Kazakhstan’s technology and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors. This strategic collaboration will position Kazakhstan as a key regional hub for cross-border innovation, leveraging ewpartners’ expertise in facilitating investments between Asia and the GCC.

The parties recognize the growing trade, investment, and industrial cooperation between China, the GCC, and Kazakhstan, particularly in ICT and technology-driven sectors. By leveraging advanced technologies from Asia and China, this initiative will enhance Kazakhstan's global competitiveness, supporting the country’s national strategy to bolster economic and innovation development.

Backed by Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds and international investors, ewpartners will apply its cross-border investment expertise to position Kazakhstan as a prime destination for international technology investments. As part of the partnership, the parties will seek to mobilize capital from Kazakhstan, the GCC, China, and international markets to spur investments in Kazakhstan, with a focus on digital infrastructure, Industry 4.0, robotics, and AI.

A cornerstone project under this agreement is the first potential joint initiative identified by ewpartners and MDDIAI: the establishment of a joint venture and state-of-the-art R&D center in Kazakhstan, led by AgiBot, a global leader in robotics and artificial intelligence. Renowned for its expertise in designing and producing humanoid robots and developing data-driven automation technologies, AgiBot will collaborate with local universities and technology hubs to create a center of excellence focused on robotics innovation, production, and commercialization.
